“My passion for nutritional therapy began over 25 years ago when I embarked on a journey to address my own health challenges. At that time I was overweight and fatigued and I wasn’t even 25! As I achieved my optimal health goals I discovered the benefits of nutrition beyond weight loss and uncovered a desire to help others experience the benefits of nutritional therapy. There is nothing I enjoy more then to hear from the client who has a positive cholesterol follow up with her doctor, the diabetic who reduced his blood glucose, or the college student who was amazed by how clear headed and focused he felt after getting his IBS under control.”
Cindy has been studying, educating and living it for more than 20 years. Formally, she has a Masters of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Connecticut. She is a board certified Certified Nutrition Specialist®(CNS®), a credential recognized both nationally and in the state of Connecticut as the gold standard for advanced degree nutrition professionals, and is licensed in Connecticut as a Certified Dietician-Nutritionist (CDN). She currently maintains a private clinical nutrition practice in Glastonbury. She specializes in gastrointestinal health and metabolic syndrome support, however, she offers nutritional consulting for clients with varying health disorders, each with the goal of optimizing their health and wellness potential.
Cindy successfully manages her own gluten sensitivity with nutritional therapy, giving her an appreciation for the food sensitivities and intolerances many of her clients experience. As well, as a mother striving to provide a strong nutritional health foundation for her own children, she can empathize with her clients in their struggles for themselves and their families.
“I continually look to nutritional therapy again and again, to preserve my health and wellness while facing some of the same challenges that many of my clients experience, especially as we age. Given the dynamics of our bodies, we are constantly changing over the course of time, further challenging us to help our bodies continually adapt.“
Mindful of the continued research and discovery in the nutritional field, ongoing education is a priority for Cindy. She pursues continued education forums, maintains membership in nutrition professional organizations and has a developed a network of nutrition and holistic health peers – allowing her to offer the highest level of nutritional counseling for her clients.
“My mission as a nutrition professional is to help my clients reach their optimal health and wellness.”
